KingCMS X1 is released under an open-source license. The front-end footer shows a "Powered by KingCMS" link by default. Removing that link requires a paid branding-removal license.

KingCMS X1 can be freely downloaded, deployed and used. The front-end footer shows a standard "Powered by KingCMS" link by default; keeping that link means free use.
When branding removal applies
When you need to remove the "Powered by KingCMS" link from the front end, a paid branding-removal license is required. Licenses are registered per domain — one license covers one domain.
