For the reasons, see Why enterprises should upgrade their website. Below we cover only the operations: for each item, where to set it in the admin, how to do it, and how to verify it on the front end.

First, the boundaries: Doubao, DeepSeek and Tencent Yuanbao have no public submission entry for site owners, and X1 has no dedicated settings for these AI assistants. All that can be done is to make the page itself readable and crawlable; being cited is not guaranteed.

1. Page Title and Description

Admin location: "Marketing & SEO → SEO → Settings".

  • Fill in "Default Title", "Default Keywords" and "Default Description" as fallback values for pages without individual settings.
  • Go to "System Settings → Column Management (栏目管理)", edit the specific column or single page, and fill in that page's SEO title, keywords and description in the SEO fields.

Front-end verification: open the page source and confirm that <title> and <meta name="description"> contain what you filled in the admin.

2. Write Content as Text, Not Images

Admin location: "Column Management (栏目管理) → Edit Body".

  • The body editor supports common formats such as headings, lists, links, images and tables; text is directly readable.
  • Do not paste product specifications, contact information or company introductions as images.

Front-end verification: select the body text on the page with the browser; if it can be selected and copied, it is text. The corresponding text can also be seen in the page source.

3. FAQ and FAQPage Structured Data

Admin location: the "Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)" block on the product edit page and single page edit page.

  1. Click "Add Question" to add a row and fill in the question and answer.
  2. Use Move Up and Move Down to adjust the order, and Delete to remove.
  3. Expand "Translations" to fill in Q&A for each enabled language separately; if no translation is filled in, the front end falls back to Chinese.
  4. Rows where both the question and answer are empty will not be saved.

Front-end verification: a "Frequently Asked Questions" block appears after the page body; check the page source and confirm there is JSON-LD for FAQPage. When the Q&A is empty, neither the block nor the JSON-LD is output.

Note: the admin only provides FAQ for products and single pages; articles and column lists do not have this block.

4. Structured Data and canonical/hreflang

Admin location: no separate settings needed; the default theme outputs them automatically.

  • Pages automatically output meta description, canonical, hreflang, and og:title/description/url/image.
  • JSON-LD actually output: single pages use WebPage+BreadcrumbList (plus FAQPage when there is an FAQ); articles use Article+Organization+Person+WebPage+BreadcrumbList; products use Product+Offer/AggregateOffer+BreadcrumbList; lists use CollectionPage+ItemList+BreadcrumbList; the homepage uses Organization.

Front-end verification: view the page source and search for application/ld+json, rel="canonical" and hreflang.

5. sitemap, robots.txt and llms.txt

Admin location: no settings needed; the site provides them automatically.

  • /sitemap.xml, /sitemap.txt: include hreflang alternate links; when there are more than 50,000 entries or 10MB, they are split into /sitemap-1.xml etc.
  • /robots.txt: Allow /, Disallow /admin, and lists the sitemap and llms.txt.
  • /llms.txt: site name and introduction, columns, product facts, up to 50 content items, and FAQ summaries.

Front-end verification: visit these three addresses directly in the browser; it is enough that they return content normally. After modifying a product or FAQ, revisit /llms.txt to see the new content; no static file generation is required.

6. Enable the "Search Engine Indexing" Module

Admin location: "System Settings → Modules & Themes". After a fresh installation of beta.1, it is already enabled in practice.

  1. Confirm that "Search Engine Indexing" is checked.
  2. "Marketing & SEO" appears on the left; go to "SEO → Settings" and click "Show Advanced Settings" to see site verification and search engine push related items.

Baidu

  1. Add the site on the Baidu Search Resource Platform and choose "HTML tag verification" as the verification method.
  2. Copy the value of content in the tag, fill it into "SEO → Settings → Site Verification → Baidu Site Verification" and save.
  3. Get the interface address from "Normal Indexing → Active Push", and fill only the value after token= into "SEO → Search Engine Push → Baidu Push Token"; if left blank, no push is performed.
  4. After content is saved, the address enters the task queue and is pushed asynchronously by cron:run, which the server executes every minute, up to 2,000 entries each time.

Sogou

  1. Add the site on the Sogou Webmaster Platform and choose "HTML tag verification" as the verification method.
  2. Copy the value of content, fill it into "SEO → Settings → Site Verification → Sogou Site Verification" and save.
  3. Return to the webmaster platform, click verify, and submit the site sitemap address.

Front-end verification: view the page source and confirm there are <meta name="baidu-site-verification" content="..."> and sogou_site_verification tags; on that page's "Push Log" tab, check the remaining quota returned by Baidu and the recent logs.

Note: when the module is disabled, verification tags are not output and push tasks are not executed, but saved setting values are retained. The admin has no "full re-push" button; older content published earlier must be saved again to enter the queue. Deleting, unpublishing or hiding content does not notify Baidu to delete it; handle that on the search resource platform.

7. Multilingual

Admin location: "Enabled Languages" and "Default Language" under "System Settings → Settings → Content & Media", as well as the language tabs on each content edit page.

  • Enable the required languages and set the default language.
  • Fill in content for each language under the "Chinese/English" and other language tabs of columns, single pages and products; if untranslated, the front end falls back to Chinese.

Front-end verification: switch languages and visit the page, and confirm that the content and hreflang alternate links are correct.

8. Automatic 301 on Address Changes

Admin location: the edit page of a column or content item.

When modifying the name, check "Regenerate Path"; the old path automatically 301 redirects, with no extra settings. Front-end verification: visiting the old address should redirect to the new address.

Self-Check List

  1. The "Search Engine Indexing" module is enabled.
  2. Baidu and Sogou verification tags are filled in and confirmed in the front-end source code.
  3. The Baidu push token is filled in, cron:run is configured, and there are success records in the "Push Log".
  4. /sitemap.xml, /robots.txt and /llms.txt are all directly accessible.
  5. Page titles and descriptions are filled in per page and visible in the source code.
  6. The body is text rather than images.
  7. Product and single page FAQs are filled in, and there is FAQPage JSON-LD in the source code.
  8. Product information is complete; fields such as brand, model, price, unit, minimum order quantity and place of origin are filled in.
  9. Multilingual translations and hreflang work correctly.
  10. Old links of pages whose addresses have changed can 301 to the new address.
